Ella is situated in Badulla District of Uwa Province. And it is a small town in Badulla. It is about 200km East of Colombo and is located at an altitude of 1,041m above sea level. This area has a wealthy bio diversity and high of density with many variation of flora and fauna. It has a pleasant climate of 28°C. It posses a population of 44,763 in (2012) and hope it has generally change. 

Ella is a small relax town adjacent by the beautiful greens of tea. Ella is such a pleasant city to visit and it has a natural beauty. Foreigners visit Ella as an essential place to visit because they believe that it is the best place they can visit in Sri Lanka. Ella is known as a must-visit destination in Sri Lanka.

Not only that we can hike up the famous Ella rock. We can also applaud the views of Ella gap from Little Adam's Peak. After that we can too witness the beauty of Diyaluma Falls. And the Rushing Ravana Falls and we can enjoy the famous views from Lipton Seat too and take a tour in the tea factory. The most scenic part of the journey is from Nanu Oya to Ella.
